Is steam carpet cleaning good for people with allergies?
If you are an allergy sufferer there are some things that you can do that help to alleviate and dampen symptoms. Our steam cleaning process is one of those things. When you partake in a good deep steam cleaning of your environment you are able to kill a variety of bacteria and remove several dust particles and allergens from the flooring surface of your home.
Manually dusting furniture is a good preventative way to remove allergens from the home, but it tends to just disturb the allergens and they move elsewhere. When you add a good steam carpet cleaning to your dust and vacuuming regime, you add the component of water which allows the dusts to adhere to the water molecule and to be sucked up into a retrieval container. The water also helps the allergen from becoming airborne as you work to clean up the problem.

What is the difference between steam cleaning vs dry cleaning carpets? We often get asked what the difference of steam cleaning versus dry cleaning carpets is and this are of our page we intend to help enlighten you on this topic.
One famous myth about steam cleaning is that there is steam actually used. There is not steam used in the cleaning of your carpets when you have a steam deep clean completed on your carpets or rugs. The steam is, in essence, a byproduct of the deep carpet cleaning process. The hot water that activates the detergent and what is used during the process of the professional cleaning is what gives off the steam. The steam is not actually what is cleaning the carpets during this process. What cleans the carpet is the detergent that is sprayed into the carpet with the hot water. This detergent then breaks down organic materials and sticks to other dirt, dust and debris and then is sucked up through a powerful machine and discarded at a later time outside of the home. Steam cleaning is often a carpet cleaning service of choice because there are chemicals that are used during dry cleaning that can affect the interior air quality of the home and the health of those that live there. Steam cleaning with detergent, with a good professional carpet cleaning machine, leaves little to no residue behind on your carpets and is often ideal for most households. Dry cleaning is not necessarily always dry and uses a variety of special materials and machines to clean the carpet. Dry cleaning can sometimes be called VLM or "very low moisture" cleaning. Dry cleaning uses a variety of dry compounds that are applied to the carpet and often take less than 24 hours to dry. There are chemicals in the dry cleaning process that are used to break down greasy films and bind to soils and other dirt. Solvents often include glycol ethers and petroleum byproducts. If you choose dry carpet cleaning, be sure to ask what chemicals will be used in the process. |
